    Becky Carr Joins Marsden & Associates as Principal

    Today was very exciting around Marsden & Associates.  Becky Carr, marketing professional extraordinaire, officially joined the company as a Principal.  Becky was most recently the VP of Global Marketing for Verizon Business and one of Marsden & Associates’ clients.  We were all thrilled when she decided to make the leap and join us.

    Marsden & Associates Appoints Veteran Marketing Professional Becky Carr as Principal

    Carr Brings 26 Years of Global B2B Technology Marketing and Business Development Expertise To the Firm

    “Becky is a highly respected global marketing executive who will bring tremendous value to our clients who are looking to tap into the expertise of a proven leader” said Anne Marsden, President.  “She is both creative and innovative in developing brands, products, sales transformation, digital and lead generation programs coupled with a keen discipline in delivering real world results.”

    Carr’s 26-year career in the global B2B technology market spans sales, sales leadership and all marketing disciplines in Fortune 50 companies.  She joins after 6 years at Verizon where she was the Vice President of Global Marketing responsible for brand, advertising, web, field marketing, go to market strategy, product launches, market & customer intelligences, sales enablement, advisory boards, events and sponsorships.  She helped transform the brand from a commodity to a solutions provider, increased customer loyalty and achieved double digit growth in key strategic services.  Carr launched multiple global integrated advertising and marketing campaigns.  She revolutionized sales support focusing on “just in time” delivery through multiple vehicles and formats.   Her web strategy including a specific thought leadership site for C-level clients realized triple digit percentage increases in participation rates.

    Prior to joining Verizon, Carr spent 17 years at MCI where she began as a Global Account Manager selling multi-million dollar technology solutions to Fortune 100 businesses.  She moved into marketing in 1997 holding leadership positions from product to e-business development to field and market management.  Her last two years at MCI she served as the Vice President of Field Marketing.  Her career in technology began with Cable & Wireless in 1987.

    Carr holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from William Smith College.  She was a member of the Georgia 100 Mentor Exchange and a trustee for the Heritage Foundation.
